My daughter is 9 yrs old. Her father has been in her life although infrequently until about a year ago. I first explained his disappearance was do to a new job. She continually asks about him and is becoming more suspicious and upset about where her dad is. He has been in and out of rehab for the last year for heroine and crystal meth addiction. I don’t know if I should just be honest with her or keep lying to her but her tears are becoming more frequent and she is starting to wonder if it is her fault that her dad is not around. I am worried about telling someone so young that her dad is a drug addict, what effects it will have on her and what to say. Her grandmother suggested that I tell her he is an alcoholic instead of the truth. I don’t really want to lie to her but I know something needs to be done. Do you have any ideas or tips on what I should do or say to her?

This isn’t a joke question either.
Lately ive been noticing myself taking pleasure in all the bad things my brain tells me. Someone told me it could be a sign of depression, its true I have been depressed. But is there more of a problem in the brain?
For example, Cutting yourself feels good. Sure you can say im emo or whatever. But isn’t cutting yourself supposed to be a bad thing. Its sort of like wrong becomes right.
I don’t know if this could also be related to my crystal meth addiction I had a few months back. But id rather hear from someone here who may know the answer to this. Because its pretty obvious that slamming your head against a wall isn’t supposed to feel good when for me its a stress releiver.
By the way, please don’t laugh. Because like I said already. Even though it sounds stupid im really not joking. And ive never at all in my life ever felt like this before. I feel as if im experiencing something new.
I’m 18 years old by the way.

Ok so my best friend is 13 (i’m 15) and she’s dating this guy who’s 16. Bryan(her bf) and I have been talking since about thanksgiving and i’ve gotten to know him pretty well. He calls me his little sister and I call him my big brother. Bryan is currently in rehab for a Crystal Meth addiction. He and I talk almost everyday and he’s getting better slowly, but I talked to his younger brother(long lost, they just met) and he said that Bryan talks about me constantly and tht he thinks Bryan is in love with me. I’ve done as much as I can to help Bryan fight his addiction and I love him like a brother. I really don’t want to hurt Lindsey, but I think I’m starting to love him as more than a brother. Help!!!!
He’s not my actual brother….my best friend is like my sister so i considered him my brother….but getting to know him i’ve realized he’s more than a friend to me.
